## About

Department of Mathematical Theory of Microprocessor Control Systems was established in 1984. Now it works in three main directions.

First — interval computing. Since 1993 after intruction of the president of the Curriculum committee Professor V.I.Zubov the department works on development of interval computing methods, that can guarantee their precision. In 1996-2001 nine issues of lectures by professor G.G.Menshikov "Interval analysis and computing methods" were published. Associate professor V.B.Orlov also works in this area.

Second — artificial intelligence and related topics. Represented by works of Professor I.L.Bratchikov. Similar question are under interest of associate professors V.M.Grishkin, A.V.Zubov, V.A.Petrova, V.T.Tarushkin.

Third — data transfer and its processing with use of microprocessors. Represented by works of Professor G.G.Menshikov and associate professor V.M.Grishkin.
