## Areas of research

The main direction of basic research — development of mathematical methods and computational algorithms of optimization of management systems and methods of their computer simulation. The main areas of applied research is in energy and shipbuilding. In the field of energy in the focus is the application of optimal control theory to solve problems of stabilization of plasma in tokamaks. In the shipbuilding industry —development of analytical and computational methods of analysis, synthesis and simulation of motion control systems of ships of different classes.
