Traditionally the objective of the Workshop is to bring together
mathematicians, physicists and engineers to present and discuss recent
developments in the area of mathematical control methods, modeling and
optimization, theory and design of charged particle beams and plasma,
parallel and distributed computing in accelerator physics. This Workshop
is the ninth event in a series which started in 1994.
This workshop is devoted to memory of professor V.I.Zubov.

TIME AND VENUE
This meeting continues the tradition of eight Beam Dynamics & Optimization
Workshops conducted earlier. The Workshop will be held in Saint-Petersburg,
Russia, June 24-27, 2002. June is the best time of the year in Saint-Petersburg,
period of "White nights". Sessions will take place in Mendeleev Centre of
Saint-Petersburg State University located at the historical center of the city.

The scientific programme of BDO-2002 will consist of invited and contributed
papers.The cotributed papers will be presented in oral and poster sessions.
The program committee reservers a right to decide on the presentation form
for contributed papers.The presentation time is 30 minutes for invited
papers and 20 minutes for contributed ones. The special board(1.5m*1m) for
poster presentation will be provided.
Working languages: Russian, English.
Simultaneous translation is planned.
ABSTRACTS AND PROCEEDINGS
The deadline for submitting abstracts is April 1, 2002. Abstracts up to 1
page should be sent by e-mail email@example.com in the form of LaTeX2e or
ASCII format (with LaTeX2e notations for mathematical symbols).
Published Abstracts of the Workshop will be distributed at the BDO'2002.
Contributed papers will be included in the Workshop Proceedings to be
published after the workshop.

The registration fee for the conference is following
Participants : 250 USD
Accompanying person : 100 USD
Students : 50 USD
The registration fee covers the collection of abstracts and other printing
materials, coffee and tea breaks.
