SCOPE
Traditionally the objective of the Workshop is to bring together
mathematicians, physicists and engineers to present and discuss recent
developments in the area of mathematical control methods, modeling and
optimization, theory and design of charged particle beams and plasma, parallel
and distributed computing in accelerator physics. This Workshop is the ninth
event in a series, which started in 1994.

This workshop is devoted to memory of professor V.I.Zubov.

TIME AND VENUE
This meeting continues the tradition of eight Beam Dynamics & Optimization
Workshops conducted earlier. The Workshop will be held in Saint-Petersburg,
Russia, June 24-27, 2002. Sessions will take place in Saint-Petersburg State University
located at the historical center of the city.
You will be provided with more detailed information in the SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
Working languages: Russian, English.
Simultaneous translation is planned.

ABSTRACTS AND PROCEEDINGS
The deadline for submitting abstracts is April 1, 2002. Abstracts up to 1
page should be sent by e-mail bdo@apmath.spbu.ru in the form of LaTeX2e or
ASCII format (with LaTeX2e notations for mathematical symbols).
Published Abstracts of the Workshop will be distributed at the BDO'2002.
Contributed papers will be included in the Workshop Proceedings to be
published after the workshop.

The registration fee for the conference is following
